Gifts
Many employers match employee/retiree annual charitable gifts per company
policies through a company matching gift program. Check with your employer for more
information.

Giving
Support the Greater Long Beach Chapter through workplace campaigns such
as United
Way, combined Federal Campaigns or other workplace
campaigns. When you designate your
gift to the Greater Long Beach Chapter it helps those families affected by
disaster in your community.

In Kind Donations:
The Greater Long Beach
Chapter does not accept or solicit
small, individual donations or collections of items for emergency relief
purposes. Small items such as collections of food, used clothing, and shoes
often must be cleaned, sorted, and repackaged which impedes the valuable
resources of money, time, and personnel that are needed for other aspects of our
relief operation. You can support your
community by donating these typses of items to a local agency. The Greater
Long Beach Chapter does have a partnership with Goodwill Southern California where
clothing donated to a local Goodwill pick up location during a local emergency
are converted into clothing vouchers for
victims.
This fact
sheet
can provide you with information regarding the ability of the Red Cross to
accept in-kind donations. However
the Greater Long Beach Chapter will review offers of bulk in-kind donations to
determine if they meet a current need.
