Hold a Fundraiser

 

When a major disaster occurs whether it is a large apartment fire, wildfire or an earthquake the residents of our 9 communities are among the first to help, often looking for ways to support the relief effort underway.  One way is to hold a fundraiser to support the ongoing mission of the American Red Cross.

If you or your company/organization is interested in holding a fundraiser, follow these steps to set up your fundraiser event with the Greater Long Beach Chapter.

 

 

Complete Third-Party Fundraising Agreement

  • All organizations or individuals collecting funds from the public on behalf of the Red Cross must complete a third-party agreement.
  • Print and Fill out Third Party Agreement and bring to our office at 3150 E. 29th Street, Long Beach. Bring the completed form and your ID.  The agreeement must be signed by a Red Cross represantive before you can hold your fundraiser on behalf of the Red Cross.

 

Request Red Cross Materials

  • Once the third party agreement has been signed and approved, you may request Red Cross materials such as flyers, collection buckets and signs. 
  • Any materials you create that include the Red Cross name or logo must be approved by the Red Cross to ensure proper usage of the brand.  Please work with our Public Support Office to obtain approvals.

 

Collect and Submit Funds

  • All donations collected should be sent to the American Red Cross Greater Long Beach Chapter within 10 days of the event.   One hundred percent (100%) of donations must be forwarded to the Red Cross.  Please combine all cash donations into one lump sum and provide via check or money order.
